RELEASE

REVEALED

The Whisky

Something in the bond store

is almost ready.

Distilled in 2019 and matured in our Bothwell bond store, this one has spent its final months somewhere a little unexpected. Hold it up to the light and you’ll see what we mean.

We can’t say more yet. The Highlands haven’t decided. The full reveal lands on Wednesday 11 November.

THE CELLAR MASTER

Meet the Highlands stag.

He decides when it's ready.

He’s spent so long in our bond store that his coat has turned the colour of the cask. Calm, unhurried and very hard to impress, he decides when a whisky is ready. Nobody argues.

Right now, he’s still making up his mind.

Our stag is AI-made. The whisky isn’t. The casks, the distillers and the Highlands are all real.

Four seasons before lunch, every day of the year.

THE STORY

Made in a heritage flour mill.

Finished by the Highlands.

Clyde Mill Distillery operates out of a heritage-listed 1823 flour mill in Bothwell, on the edge of the Clyde River Valley in Tasmania’s Central Highlands.

The Highlands do something to a maturing spirit that nowhere else can. Frosty mornings, warm afternoons and sudden pressure changes push the spirit deep into the oak and draw it back out, season after season.

It is not slow ageing. It is active shaping. We decide when to start. The Highlands decide when it’s finished.

“We decide when to start.
The Highlands decide when it’s finished.”
