Maltstock – 15th to 17th of May

Maltstock Down Under is a not‑for‑profit, community‑led, bring‑a‑bottle whisky festival set in the Tasmanian Highlands, and we’re proud that this first Australian edition is happening right here in our backyard. Inspired by the cult‑favourite Dutch festival that’s been running for 16 years, Maltstock Down Under is a fully immersive long weekend for people who love whisky not just as a drink, but as a shared experience. This is strictly an 18+ event.

Held at the historic Ratho Farm in Bothwell, the festival brings whisky lovers from around the world together for three unforgettable days of tasting, learning, friendship and fun, all surrounded by the rugged beauty of the Highlands.

Just down the road, Clyde Mill Distillery will be opening our doors on Saturday 16 May for a special tour and tasting afternoon exclusively for Maltstock patrons.
Guests will be welcomed with a dram before stepping inside our restored 1820s mill for an immersive journey through the site’s history, our grain‑to‑glass process, and the unique character of the Tasmanian Highlands. The experience concludes with a guided flight of three of our core whiskies; a chance to taste the spirit of the Highlands in the place it’s made.
