It’s Tasmanian Whisky Week, and Clyde Mill is open 11am to 4pm, daily, from 1 to 9 August, with two offers running side by side.
Kitchen Offer
Chef Andy reckons no Tassie winter is complete without something hearty on the table, so he’s made a Tasmanian Pork & Barley Casserole especially for Whisky Week. Buy any 500ml or 700ml bottle of Clyde Mill Whisky or Gin, and we’ll shout you a bowl, served with sourdough. Simple as that. No tickets required, and while bookings aren’t essential, they’re really appreciated, especially for bigger groups. (Casserole only; not available in conjunction with our regular menu.)
Distillery Offer, See It Live
Tours run every day of Whisky Week, and you’re invited behind the scenes. We’re mashing on Wednesday and distilling Wednesday to Friday, so those are the days to catch it live, mash tun to stills, as it happens. Wednesday is the one not to miss, mash day, when you can smell the aromas and see our farm-grown malt and wash up close. Tours are running every other day too, so if those days don’t suit, come any time and see the distillery and process for yourself. There’s nothing quite like standing in the still house while a batch is running and the Highlands are doing their work in the background.
If you’re heading our way during Whisky Week, we’d love to see you. No tickets required for either the Kitchen Offer or a tour, but bookings are really appreciated for both. Get in touch on 0499 017 211, email hello@clydemill.com.au, or book through our website.
