Our cask strength releases showcase the finest of our three cask profiles, each expression shaped by pure water, unique copper, and the clean Highland air that defines our craft. Drawn at natural cask strength with no dilution, this whisky reached peak maturation with such balance and clarity that it was decanted exactly as it lay in the wood, its character preserved in full.
The Apera nose opens with deep muscatel sweetness, ripe sultanas, poached apricot and warm, generous fruit lifted by toasted oak. The palate is full and velvety, delivering an immediate surge of warming spice. Candied citrus and baked quince brighten the richness, while firmer oak introduces roasted almond and dark toffee. A higher char influence emerges toward the finish, bringing cocoa husk and smouldering spice. The final impression is layered, powerful and composed, settling into a lingering, confident warmth.
